COVID-19 has resulted in substantial changes to how we travel. If you're flying to Coral Coast, these tips will help you navigate these new challenges:

• Before you lock in a flight, see if any travel restrictions apply — in both your origin and destination. Get up-to-date information by checking government and travel websites.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask at the airport, even at screening checkpoints. Be prepared to lower your mask for ID verification when asked by a TSA employee.
• To decrease the risk of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the reader yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA employee.
• You are now permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. This will need to be removed for X-ray screening.
• Remove personal items from your pockets, like your small change and phone, and place them in your carry-on instead of the bins. This will minimize handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to handle and inspect your belongings.
