The Days Inn is not what it used to be. The AC in my suite didn’t work well. The chair in the In the lower common area of my suite looked sooooo filthy. They should just throw it away. Water stains in the ceiling. It was icky. I’ve been going to this Days Inn since 2011 but this year it has fallen off.

Toe Jam

Got to our room after a very long drive, got a Jetted Tub room. As soon as we entered the room it had a weird smell, we thought it was just because of the air not being on. Explored the room for a few minutes, thought it was awesome it had a loft bedroom and the jetted tub up there. Turned one of the switches on to start filling up the tub and I had to leave the room due to the overpowering smell coming from the tub. The best I can explain it is the smell of Toe Jam x10000000. The rest of the hotel stay was okay once we switched rooms definitely not somewhere I would stay again.

Oldest hotel around, with the smell and decor to show it. Room was damp.. smelled like an old church if it had an indoor pool. Paper thin walls, with every other rooms farts as white noise.

We checked into the hotel and when we got to our rooms we saw bedbugs all over the bed. We checked out right away and the hotel refunded us.

Poor Experience

Overall the room was so gross that we decided not to stay and went to a different hotel. Walking into the building there was a bad smell. We assumed at first it was just from being used less during COVID, but upon entering the room the smell only increased. The room itself had a large black stain on the carpet, as well as brown stains all over the couch. In addition, the bed headboard was covered in dirty handprints. Finally, the room boasted a tub separate from the bathroom. This was set into tile whose grout was blackened and there were numerous stains inside of the tub itself. The room also had no windows, and few lamps, which did not help with the overall experience.

The handicapped room is what we were given, because the regular room wasn't available. It was clean enough, little things were not clean, didn't mind that so much. The bed is very uncomfortable. When you're laying down, the mattress collapses to the middle on one side. It's even worse when you have two people sharing the bed.

I booked a king room and was put in a queen size room. Even though I had prepared online.i was not informed on this until I got into the room. I called the front desk and asked about it and they tried to tell me that it was an upgrade.... I should have had some of my payment refunded.

Worst Experience Ever

So I came to stay at Days Inn due to my husband getting into a horrible car accident and was in the ICU at Iowa City Hospital, and I wanted to be close since I can’t be with him due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Well upon arriving into the room I noticed something sticky splattered all over the floor, then something smudged all over the table and counter, remote control didn’t work and the refrigerator didn’t work as well! I cleaned the whole room with disinfectant wipes and spray to just feel better about staying there and they never offered me another room or anything! This was already a very tragic experience for me and then to stay in a place I did not feel comfortable was even worse! I would like a full refund or aun up-credit for a nicer room/different hotel for later this week or weekend when I have to return to Iowa City to see my husband and transport him home! Can you please help me with this! Thanks!

Appropriate services
