Beautiful gem of a resort in coron

The garden resort met our expectations. It was a pleasure to be their guest. The room was nice and big and very clean. The pool also really big. The breakfast was really delicious with fresh authentic Filipino breakfast. The staff were also super helpful and catered to all our needs.

A beautiful place to stay, if you’d like the resort feeling while exploring Palawan. Not sure if it was because of the time we booked, but it felt like we were the only ones at the resort. Which is good if you’re into quiet and intimate stays, and it didn't change their level of service - in fact, it may have heightened the fact that their attention was only on us which felt a little eerie. Overall, would recommend for families or bigger groups that want their own space & not for travellers who enjoy the bustle of some company.

Things are a little further to walk to like restaurants and the coron town (15-20 Min) but there are trikes everywhere to transport quick, only 60 pesos pp. staff were very friendly. Anything we needed, the staff assisted. Booking tour excursions thru the hotel was very easy. Very calm and relaxing resort space. The only downside I would say is that the walls are very thin. You could hear people talking next door, laughing, sneezing. So if you want privacy… that may be a little tough. Otherwise I had a great experience here.

The place is clean and nice. The only thing that’s not is the broken lock on the veranda. The staff are always courteous helpful and nice. Breakfast is buffet and has a lot of options. Their lunch and dinner menus have large servings. There’s a pool where you can dip anytime. The place is quiet and away from the chaos but still close to everything. McDonald’s is a walking distance if you want to stretch your legs from walking but tricycle is always available in front of the hotel. I recommend this hotel.

The room was really nice, air conditioned, and the pool is amazing. The staff were all very nice but there were dirty towels left in a pile around the pool for most of the day. I realize my breakfast taste is Canadian but I really didn’t like the breakfast. There was no OJ; the juice provided was the cheapest available; there was limited fruit (apple and watermelon) and on one occasion, I kept checking and there was NO fruit. I couldn’t understand this given that we’re in a tropical climate and there was plenty of fruit at the market. The area is a bit industrial but it’s a short 20 min walk to town.

Great stay

Really enjoyed my stay at Soliel Garden. The staff are very friendly and attentive. My room was very large, great aircon and facilities. The pool is beautiful and well kept. As others have said in their reviews, it’s convenient to the town - a 12 minute walk but far too hot to walk, so you can very easily get a tricycle and the security staff help with this. I feel like they mislead on the gym - there isn’t a gym. There’s two machines (one is broken) on an outdoors balcony, with no aircon. I would have liked to have eaten more in the restaurant for convenience but the food is expensive and poor quality. The bar staff were also very slow. Breakfast had a lot of choice but the quality was quite low. Lots of flys around the fruit too. The mini bar is tiny, so you can’t keep any of your own stuff in it. Also very few options to choose from.

Dated property, but lovely staff

The property is a little dated, could do with a refurbishment, but it is still nice. The staff are super friendly, always smiling and chatty but a lot of the time our requests were forgotten (ordered ice to the room that never came, room service menu twice that never arrived). Service can be more attentive. The bedding was the highlight of the room, very comfortable mattress and pillows. Pool area was nice. The food was awful, they really need to improve in this department. I didn’t touch anything at breakfast except fresh fruits (apples and melons) and eggs. Coffee was bad, no milk or milk alternatives (only creamer), only unhealthy sliced white bread and no salads. Also ordering food at the resturant for lunch was bad. Probably the worst Pizza I have ever had. I would say this is a dated 4* start hotel that is being run and feels like a 3* at best. Internet was slow and signal barely reached room 225 even though it’s very close to the pool and reception.
