We arrived about 10:30am on September 1 knowing are check-in time was not until the afternoon. We've never been to this part of Texas and found the North Beach area very shady. The pictures online for Hotel DeVille are very misleading. Expedia should not recommend this Hotel to other travelers. We tried to cancel our reservation but were told by the hotel we could not. Also tried to talk with someone at Expedia but could not. We ended up driving 45 minutes away and found better, clean, safe accomodations.

Property was fairly worn down and messy. There was dog poop on the first floor that wasn’t picked for days. Staff were friendly. Had a nice patio area on the second floor that was great views were also good overall a pleasant experience pass the exterior of the building.

In the past my wife, son and my self have stayed at Hotel De Ville. This is the worse. There was no toilet paper, the land line phone was broke. Cord would fall off the receiver. Most of all this room, 120 was not swept. You could feel the sand on your feet. I did take pictures on these infractions. I do plan to take these infractions to different agencies. Would not recommend this location.

Only reason for 3 stars is due to cleanliness and surprise deposit. Sand was in every crevice of the bed frame. Also, room smelled of smoke but wasn’t too bad due to paint attempting to cover it up. I wasn’t aware of the $100 room deposit as it is not listed on hotels.com, only a $100 per deposit is listed. Aside from these inconveniences, it was an okay stay.

The ONLY reason I gave a 1 star in the around the area of the property is due to the construction but when the construction is done this is the spot!! And I will be coming back in Aug. I will be staying here regardless of the construction! The staff was so so nice and helpful! Had quite the time coming in town and was originally booked elsewhere (a very popular nationwide known hotel!) and had to book this one extremely late at night, (due to the incident at the other one) and they were so very helpful and understanding here at the HOTEL DE VILLE! AMD THE BEACH ACCESS IS Phenomenal!!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY STAY IN CORPUS CHRISTI WAS MORE Pleasant!!
