"I would call this cheap and cheerful. The rooms are very basic. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. I had a twin on Friday night at the front and it was very noisy with people outside. On Saturday I had a double at the back which was quieter but the window opens to a yard with the kitchen fans and it was noisy and smelly with cooking fumes. This double was very small I can’t imagine two people in it. It was also in need of redecoration. The staff were very friendly, can’t fault that. The location was right in the middle of Ryde so very handy for everything. As I said cheap and cheerful!"

"The hotel is very strange and you have to check in online then you get given a code walk to your room and on the wall next to your room is a lockbox where you enter that code to get your key to get into the room all of that takes a very long time and it feels more like a Airbnb rental than an actual hotel. The bar has no drinks to sell and we soon found out in the town that the hotel has recently shut down and reopened under new ownership. My hunch would be the new owners have never run a hotel before."

"Such a warm, fun and friendly atmosphere, with a great bar/restaurant and personal service. The building has that old, coastal charm, an interesting history and a great location near the Red Funnel ferry. Enjoyed walking the city and taking the chain ferry to Osbourne House and the Needles. Would love to go back and spend more time there and would choose the same hotel."

"No air conditioning but there was a dyson fan and a heater. Room had a coffee machine, mini fridge, hairdryer and a handheld steamer. We stayed in a room overlooking the harbour and it was very quiet. You couldn't hear any noise from the pub next door. Room was modern and very clean. The bed was huge (king) and very comfortable. There were places nearby to get breakfast and is very close to a Sainsbury and M&S food (Apr26)."

"Entertaining stay! The hotel itself is really nice, it's very clean and tidy throughout, which is so important to me personally. My room was roomy and had all that I required for a one night stay, even longer would have been fine also. the bathroom while a mixture of modern and old fashioned, again was fine for my stay, it had a lovely walking show fitted with a rain head, which was all very nice, toilet & sink though were a horrid pink, bit functional, although the cold tap had to be turned in the wrong directionion to make it work, which is like to see replaced with a new set, so they worked as expected. Breakfast was excellent, the quality of the produce used was excellent and this alone would make me return for another stopover, which I shall. My only criticism is that the fire alarm went off just after midnight, which turned into a right nightmare, as there was noone on site form the hotel itself, so 4 of us were left to try and resolve the problem, which resulted in the fire brigade having to attend and reassure us that we could rest easy for the rest of the night, what a bloody pain that was in the early hours. "

"Dirty bathroom, tired facilities, heinously overpriced. Expected a real luxury treat for my wife's 50th, got a Premier Inn with a Spa bolted on and a dried up lake bed."

"Lovely apartment, with fully equipped kitchen and large, bright and stylish TV lounge. Literally a couple of minutes walk from the West Cowes ferry terminal, with a great choice of bars and restaurants on the doorstep.The apartment is at the rear of the property, so no street noise. If you intend to discover the island using public transport, the bus terminal is only a 5 minute walk away, situated next to the M&S food hall. Super friendly and helpful owner and manager. Hope to stay again."

"Unfortunately the room requested was not available as we had our small dog with us so were allocated a dog friendly room which was fine but it only had a 4’6 bed which really is not expected these days. Following the downgrading of the room by the hotel and being advised that the room requested would be cheaper. The new price unfortunately was not honoured despite numerous requests for a refund so overall not the best experience."
