The staff was great! Elizabeth in the Oceana was a nice and helpful! I enjoyed having her as our waitress! Rooms were mildewy and all our clothes smelled musty when we got home. The resorts needs a ton of updates and refreshed! The spa was great!

Except for the beautiful water at the beach, almost everything else about our stay was disappointing. The overall presentation of the property was far from ideal. Our room had several issues, including broken locks and lights, stained bed sheets, and a bathroom that smelled like sewage. The room quality overall was very poor. The food and restaurant options were also disappointing in both quality and variety. On top of that, there was construction taking place right next to the Market restaurant and the spa area, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the amenities. Overall, we are not happy with our experience and feel that it was a waste of money.

The staff was very friendly. The only complaints I have was getting the room cleaned and getting them to leave towels in our room. The air wasn’t the greatest and the mini fridge wasn’t very cold. But overall the food was wonderful, the staff was very helpful! Hospitality 10/10

The room was very clean. The staff were all amazing. Secrets Aura does need renovations but it was very comfortable and relaxing week. We will go back!

Room was great. Restaurants were hit and miss. We are Hyatt members and the sales staff refused to leave us alone. One lady went as far to say my partner didnt "look" terminally ill. We came to relax and rest after multiple drs visits. We were treated better at Dreams Estrella in Mazatlan. Talk about a beautiful resort!

Our room location was perfect as well as the housekeeping. The workers were excellent. The food was okay and the drinks were a little watered down. The resort itself needs to be updated, but is in a great location with great potential. Overall a great place to stay.

Let me start by saying the property is beautiful with great beach views. I stayed at Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres in Cancun February 2025 and all Secrets are not made equal. This trip I was disappointed in the food. They were limited on the restaurants that were open everyday. Out last night, Monday 2/16, they had 2 restaurants open and lots of people to feed. You have to make a reservation for Hibachi. Were told to do it on the app and it would not allow you on the app and we were always told something different at the concierge and the front desk so we never ate there. The worst thing is that all of the chairs are taken by 8am on the beach and pools. People put out towels and don’t show up till noon. You should not be allowed to put your stuff out for hours before you arrive. It should be like the cruise ships, if you aren’t there for 20 minutes you would lose your chairs. People will put their stuff out at 7am and not arrive till noon or 1. That was the worst thing. I don’t want to take up a chair all day I just want it for the time I plan on being there. Five others a chance to enjoy the beach. Very inconsiderate and it should not be allowed. The food should be much better for a resort of this caliber. Ok, I take that back. We leave the resort at 12 for the airport. Packed up and went downstairs to check out and eat and ALL of the restaurants are closed from 11:30-12. ALL! No lunch for us apparently.

Very old resort, worst food that I have ever had at an All Inclusive, and we had preferred room so we had access to Dreams as well and its food was basically the same thing and horrible. In the last three years we have been to: Aruba, Turks, Jamaica, Cabo, Belize, Florida Keys, Antigua, and St Lucia……all at resorts, and BY FAR this Secrets/Dreams resort was the worst. They litterally had smoke detectors all of the resort going off because the batteries were low and I twice pointed them out to staff and asked them to fix, and they wouldn’t. They were suppose to clean our rooms twice a day, and only once they did that. I can’t say how bad enough this place was.

Wonderful vacation spot! The Resort provided a wonderful Super Bowl Party on the beach with a big screen TV, food and drinks. Beds were very comfortable, and rooms were very clean. Typical resort food, you could always find something to satisfy your appetite. Would definitely go back. The staff was always pleasant

Booked a Preferred ocean view swim out room and was told upon arrival to secrets those rooms had all been booked. They said they would not be able to give us the room I booked and gave us a totally different room…they were not accommodating and rude. Preferred room had mold in the shower. Sofa was so gross and felt like it was 20 years old. Had to put a blanket over it to sit on it. Food was as nothing special and house keeping did not provide the quality that Secrets guaranteed. If you wanted a beach lounger you had to get up at 6 am or you were out of luck. I would never stay here again!!!!!!!

By far the worst resort I’ve ever stayed at. First, we arrived at 3:30 and had to wait over a hour before a room was available. The scenery is pretty good but the service and amenities are terrible. Seems that if you don’t want to attend their “loyalty” seminar for premier status they are done with you! Resort couldn’t care less if you are taken care of or happy. Stayed for a total of five days and four nights. Out of the duration of our trip, we didn’t receive towels two days in a row after our room cleaned. Called front lobby to get more towels and had to end up walking up there to get them one day. Food was just okay. Biggest complaint was poolside lounge chairs and pool towels. If you don’t get up at 4:00 a.m. and go put towels or personal belongings on chairs then you don’t get a lounge chair for the day. People save lounge chairs around the pool and even on the beach every morning. Some people don’t even show up to lay or sit in their saved chairs for hours. It’s ridiculous! They should have some type of system or signs posted that do not allow chairs to be saved. If you’re not present then you don’t get the chair. Several people had altercations with others about sitting in their saved chairs because they were not there for hours. Don’t waste your time. There are better resorts on the island for your money!

The trip was good. Like many customers say about Secrets, the place could definitely use some updates. The staff was great and the food was decent. A special shout out to Marcel and the staff at the Gohan Asian restaurant up in the Sky Bar. Amazing food and service. We ate there 3 times. Adiel, Dolores and Rodrigo were all great servers. The hostess was fantastic at arranging a table for 8 for our big group.

I can't complain about the staff, over-all they were all friendly and did a good job. The maintenance of the ocean view swim out pool was horrible. The water is NOT circulated, the water doesn't reach the skippers and it is NOT cleaned daily. We arrived late Saturday, by Tuesday the pool had lots of debris (leaves, paper, dead bugs, etc) and it I didn't even want to go in the water, which is the main reason for paying for a swim out. It was finally "cleaned"/skimmed on Friday. The buffet was a continual letdown. Breakfast; constantly running out of cooked eggs and bacon. The pancakes were horrid. Lunch and dinner, some options, but only saw pasta on one day... pasta... the cheapest thing you can offer people that most want! Room was cleaned daily, chambermaid was friendly and did a good job. The person that delivered drinks was great, very generous with anything we asked for. Overall, the resort needs some updating.... there was paint over mold/dust in places... In all honesty, perhaps a change of management is needed to get this place to where it needs to be. OH, and stop shoving the "Preferred" packages down our throats... talked with several people about that... when we arrive at the resort, we're tired, thirsty, hungry! If we wanted the preferred, we'd have booked it, most of us are already at the top of our budget.

The pools are not heated. Very cold. Preferred pool had no steps into pool. You had to climb a ladder in and out. Buffet has depressing atmosphere, extremely limited choices and often empty trays with grumpy service. The weather was too windy to sit on beach or outside dining and they had no plan B for accommodating guests. Concierge service provided no help. But I must give compliments to Avilcar the lobby man and Wendy in the coffee shop.

Our first room had a terrible mold/mildew smell. E we tried to see if it would improve but did not. On day 3 we requested to be moved to rooms in a different building. They found a spot for us worth checking out of the current room in the morning and checking back in to the new rooms that afternoon when they were ready.

The resort itself is nice and the staff that works on the resort is super friendly and helpfull. The service was excellent 5 strar. Drinks were great. The food was OK nothing special about it. It was a struggle finding a lounger by the pool. Everyone would claim a lounger first thing in the morning put a towel on it and not use it for 3/4 of the day. I was on vacation did feel like i should be up at 5am to make sure i got a spot by the pool. Definitely could use more loungers by the pool at this resort.

The rooms were clean and the staff did a great job of cleaning the room and keeping our frig restocked everyday. I stayed at Secrets in 2013, the place needs some updating but overall our stay was very good. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wendy, the daily events leader was really good, she kept things lively everyday.
