Backing onto the river was lovely, could do the river walk. The restaurant was very nice, good food and atmosphere. Room was a good size with a little deck looking at the river. Had a fridge which was important and all the amenities you expect. Comfortable beds is what we are always looking for and these were very. Managed to soak in the outdoor hot tub which was great.

Hotel is aging but is an enjoyable stay. All rooms but basement have balconies, staff is nice, attached pool and restaurant. Despite being a family hotel it was quiet at night. The highway side is a bit noisy but the back side has view of the river. Outside of Fernie but close to town. We’ve stayed twice and enjoyed it both times. The Indian restaurant is no longer part of the hotel despite it appearing in the Stanford website

I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the property. The hotel itself blends style and comfort effortlessly. Common areas like the lobby, lounges, and restaurants are tastefully decorated and offer plenty of space to relax or socialize. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the design and upkeep of the entire property. My room was equally impressive—clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the amenities I could need. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it to others looking for quality and charm in a hotel.

I can’t say enough about the service we received during our week long stay at the Stanford during our daughter’s welling. Many relatives stayed there as well and were very happy with all services. The young girl at the front desk was amazing! She looked right after all my requests. She is a very professional when dealing with the public. She was very busy during our stay and she was very polite to all the customers and was a charm to see at the front desk. She deserves high praise and a big raise for her professionalism! Thank you so much and we will be back!!!!
