โThe house is in a beautiful location and we were greeted by Alfie. We were made welcome from the very beginning and looked after well. Our twin room was perfect with amazing views. We were recommended a walk to the lake and took a picnic, beautiful scenery and incredibly relaxing. A must do! We were provided with a delicious cooked breakfast and fresh bread. We will absolutely be visiting again and we wished weโd stayed longer than 1 night. โ

I was a little disappointed to see Haigh Whisky is no longer served. When we first stayed here, Barry introduced me to Haigh cocktails.
We will revisit when the hotel refurbishment is complete. โ

โA very personal service. Friendly and going h extra mile to help. Home made breakfast to order was delicious x will definately return. Perfect location too walking distance to town centre and next to park and lake โ
โOwners were very friendly and helpful, little touches like home made muffins and lemon curd set places apart
Also Iโm over 6ft and easily fit into the stand alone bath, great for relaxing the muscles after a day walking โ
โEverything was as described. Easy to follow instructions for checking in and ordering breakfast. Lovely that all the family are involved with very polite youngsters helping in the breakfast room. Breakfast choice was great and just what we needed for a day on the hills.โ
โOn arrival we were greeted with a bottle of wine biscuits and a bottle of milk which was a lovely touch. It is a lovely place to stay and would have no problem booking again.โ
