“My second stay here. I have no problem with is place. I love the location. The major challenge is the check-in and check-out time. Then again some of the staff are not friendly. The hotel cancelled my initial booking under the pretext that I needed to confirm. They didn't contact me despite hotel.com contacting them that they are conforming to my booking. theses created a lot of confusion which was later sorted out by hotels.com ”

“Margaret is a friendly, hospitable hostess and runs her business very efficiently. From our first correspondence she was extremely helpful, interactive, wanting our stay to be as comfortable as possibe. Margaret's Place is the perfect place to spend the night before a flight, it being so close to OR Thambo Airport. We will be staying there again.”

“No towels to be found. No emergency lighting of any nature in any part of the building or units, not even the odd self charging bulbs in stairwells and passages; really not good enough. Otherwise, nice and clean, and the gate guard who did the check-in was helpful and friendly.”

“This is a fine basic residential apartment. I had a nice stay and no major problems. The wifi was fine. The kitchen is sparsely supplied. The A/C worked well. The rooms were serviced well. Sometimes the gate was unlocked and unattended at night. I think there is a sewage leak in the main parking lot, which was unpleasant. The mattress could do with being replaced. There is a nice restaurant on one side; but there is a squatter dwelling on the other side.”

“This place is even better than the reviews give it credit for. It's modern, spacious, and the customer service is attentive. It has a pool, and although it does not have a gym, there's a really wonderful park with running trails next door. On top of that, it's quite literally steps away from Melrose Arch, close enough to food and attractions, but far enough to be quiet at night. I've stayed in many different places in the city, and this may be my new go-to place to stay in Joburg!”
