Rooms was very and staff was very helpful and friendly
The staff was super friendly.
This hotel has great potential at being a great hotel but it needs a staff to do some deep cleaning, and maintenance on regular basis.
Lots of little things that were not great, made for an uncomfortable stay. Tv didn’t work properly, the tap in the bathroom had only hot water, very poor poor breakfast very dirty carpets, as most rooms are for pets.,.. very pungent headache causing cleaner smell throughout …. Probably to cover up the Pot smell every…. Very inexpensive …

I’ve stayed at this property previously (2021) and it seems to have taken a down turn. Breakfast, the bar and common spaces seemed worse for wear than the last time. All the booking sites and their website say they have a shuttle (which they did last time). After checking in and paying we were told they no longer have shuttle service. If we would have known that prior to paying we would have moved to a different hotel in Deadwood. Not having that changed our trip as it is one of the reasons we chose the Blackstone. Quiet and out of the way with a convenient shuttle but we only got one of those things.
Very dated room, no hand towels, no wash clothes just 4 old towels. A few dead bugs on the floor. The heat/ac unit turns on and off the entire time. The breakfast was a bit of a joke by day 4- the coffee was water, 2 bagels and 1 slice of toast in the bread box. Every entrance of the building had white towels one the floor to catch water and ice but would just trip you. Everything about this place has changed in the last 2 years, it was so nice.. every day different breakfast options but now it’s just the same stuff. A mop sat by the eating area every day, why not put it in the closet.. cracked and run down tables and chairs in the hotel room and main eating area. The price was so good and we have stayed there before but unfortunately this will be the last.
Our stay was better than expected. Hot tub was AMAZING. We were fortunate enough to get the entire hot tub area to ourselves. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff was kind. Served a hot continental breakfast.

Pretty poor breakfast. Very limited choices. Comfortable bed and the room was clean.
Friendly staff.
First room that we had in the bathroom was black mold in the shower I notified front desk to switch rooms. Check out time is 11 am but Was awakened by staff at 9:30 am asking if I needed towels or shampoo 45 minutes later they were again knocking on the door and then came back a third time asking if I was staying another night or checking out. I understand that the staff wants to get rooms cleaned but if check out is at 11 I shouldnt be bothered 3 different times before check out 11 am. The hot water in the shower kept going from luke warm to hot and back to luke warm. Breakfast was good and rooms were clean all the vending machines on all floors were sold out of drinks but was able to purchase drinks from the lounge huge plus…beds a semi comfortable and you only get 2 towels and 2 washrags no handtowels...Im going to try to stay there again and hopefully have a better experience overall it is a little outdated but for the price and its location its a pretty decent place for what we paid for the night

Clean room with comfortable bed. Bfast was available 6-9, but was the same fare each day (eggs, biscuits & gravy, cereal, toast). It suffices as long as you remember your not at a Hilton. Facility was acceptable for the rate paid and our limited needs being away most of the day.

We were told after we had paid and checked in about an hour later that there was no hot water, and it was being worked on, but it was never resolved during our stay, other than that the staff was very friendly

It’s time to renovate the rooms, ceiling paint is pealing off in large sections. Bathroom needs to be updated, and beds are a few years past replacement.
If you are used to red roof in’s or cheap city hotels you will fit right in.
Breakfast had expired food out.
That being said staff were very friendly and nice.
I saw other people with pets but I did not bring any. The property was mostly quiet excepts the aged window unit that made strange noises. The hot tubs were a nice treat after a long day although one wasn’t filled and the second one we couldn’t get the lights or jets to turn on. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a normal continental style. Unit had everything we needed microwave, fridge, tv, hangers, and comfortable bedding. WiFi was fast and I was able to get work done on downtime. Love the location (down the road from deadwood). Such a cute little town!
