Nice cheap stay for winter trip

Clean rooms. Convenient location. The couple that manages and runs the hotel were awesome. Building is run down and in major need of renovations and more staff in the summer.

Quiet and peaceful

We only stay one night as a stop on the way to a different state. We had a good night stay and staff had good suggestions for dinner. It’s an older place- so things are not perfect but not horrible! I would stay again.

Belle Fourche Super 8 Rocks!

This is a comfortable and reliable stay. Halfway between Bozeman and Sioux Falls, Belle Fourche is a unique quaint town nestled at the foot of the black hills. Plain and simply beautiful.

Great price and friendly staff. For a one night sleep on a long drive, it was fine. Needs updating. - blanket had cigarette holes, a dried up contact lens was on the bedside table and carpet is worn out. Otherwise I slept well. My husband had a hard time sleeping with bright lights outside the window.

Pros and cons

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable which was most important. Check in staff appeared only “reluctantly accommodating” since I booked via hotels.com vs directly with Super8. Also, be aware this site charges $25 for 1 dog. Stayed at Super8 several places in Montana and charge was $10 or $15. I don’t understand the inconsistency.

The owner/manager was very nice. Check-in was easy. The hotel is very close to the highway which is convenient but noisy. The 100-level rooms are half below grade so windows are directly ground level which is weird. The room smelled and looked like there had once been water damage that had been cleaned but not professionally. No baseboards and a few holes in the cement block wall (someone trying to escape?) my room and the interior and exterior need maintenance and updating. Shower pressure was good.
