for all the hype about this property from other travelers we were disappointed by the variety of food options (delicious but very limited - eg. just wanted a simple lunch to tide us over - not a $30 Euro something) & loudness in the rooms (a carpet here or there would really help). The value for dollar was unexpected. should have had an alternative for the fixed price dinner $180 eu was steep. the location and facility was lovely but value for dollar was not.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location, lives up to the Belmond property name. However, the service was a bit disappointing, reception staff are slow, some don’t speak English at all, but besides that its a beautiful place for a relaxing vacation.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at La Residencia. Beautiful property. The only frustration during my stay was the slow kitchen / dining service at Cafe Miro.
