The Buccaneer Beach & Golf Resort
8/10 Good
"We felt appreciated and even pampered at times. "

King Christian Hotel
8/10 Good
"I would have given the hotel a five star rating except for one night when the people next door to us in room 202 played music from midnight to 5 am. I tried knocking and then I texted the front desk several times and got no response either way. I told the front desk the next morning but they weren't very responsive to my ordeal. It is what it is. Other than that, the 3 night stay was very nice."

Carina Bay Boutique All Inclusive Resort & Casino
4/10 Poor
"The pictures of this place are deceiving and the Casino is and a nice uphill walk that when you been drinking all day is horrible. There are no elevators in the hotel and if you would like to go somewhere once you figure out this place sucks you need to make a taxi reservation 3 hours in advanced and charge person not the entire party destination. The food is decent to down right outstanding some days and liquor is less than top shelf like no Patron but other brands plus the Island is pushjng Cruzan Rum. St. Thomas is the real place to go. I suggest gettimg a car if you are a real driver and can deal with driving on the left. Otherwise do not attempt to drive the roads poorly maintained and huge potholes and dangerous and winding roads that only people who can drive should be operating a vehicle. Also, people there have a problem communicating and directly answering questions. For instance when asking car agent why they where offering tire insurance, she never mentioned as I found out later they got crazy pothiles that will take a car out ."

Hotel on the Cay
10/10 Excellent
"The room was great, except we should have asked for a room on the first floor, as the stairs left us out of breath. Checking in was a breeze, front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
The beach chairs and the ferry are at no charge to guests of the hotel, that was a nice surprise. They are renovating rooms and improving the amenities. The beach is perfect. Rolling Smoke BBQ on the beach is on point, delicious!!!! Bar staff is always top notch when I visit! All in all, a great stay and I was pleasantly surprised at the room amenities and ocean view."

Oceans at Carina Bay Adults Only
8/10 Good
"Most staff were friendly but others were constantly grouchy and argumentative with other staff members in front of guests. Bar was well stocked. Breakfast was excellent. Activities were very few. "

The Frederiksted Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Clean room, old building, needs refurbishing and upgrade. Get the ocean view room not the inside rooms, scenery is scary."

Hotel Caravelle St. Croix
8/10 Good
"staff very nice. bar onsite with harbor view, good food and drinks"

Carambola Beach Resort St. Croix, US Virgin Islands
2/10 Terrible
"I would not recommend staying at this hotel. My experience was very disappointing.
There were roaches in the dining area. While my wife, another couple, and I were eating, roaches were coming out of the table. When we told the staff, they said they already knew about the problem. I also found a dead roach in my bed, which was very upsetting. The dresser had a broken strap hanging off. The entry door to the bathroom door handle was on backwards. I had to put it on the right way.
The service was poor from check-in to check-out. They pick and choose which guest to offer the trolly belhop service to. I had to carry my wife’s and I baggage to our room upon arrival. Most of the staff seemed to have a bad attitude, and we did not feel welcome at all. As someone who works in hotel management and travels often, this was the first time I felt this uncomfortable at a hotel.
The property itself is run down and needs a lot of improvement, both in maintenance and customer service. There is also very little to do nearby, and the restaurants recommended by the hotel are about 30 minutes away.
The only positive part of our stay was Lydia, who was friendly and introduced herself.
Overall, I suggest paying extra to stay somewhere else. I would visit St. Croix again, but not this hotel.
