“Need more presentable and respectable staff”

“Clean rooms, friendly staff”

“Clean and quiet”

“Our waitress at breakfast was awesome! Friendly, professional and took my wife and I's order without writing it down and delivered it perfectly, including the dark toast!”

“Staff was not that friendly at check in, shower was not clean. Breakfast was not good- one thermos of bold coffee and a muffin was about all we ate. Just ok- wouldn’t stay there again”

“I tore the bed apart after the stay the mattress was nasty it had stains all over and big holes in the mattress it was gross!!!”

“This place is a hidden gem! The room was incredibly clean and decorated in the cutest style! A coffee maker with pods and tea were provided as well as some small snacks and water in the fridge! I really liked that dishes and silverware were also provided in case we may have needed to reheat food. The AC was a little finicky it seemed but kept us cool and comfy the entire stay. Lots of good choices for food with in driving distance as well.”

“Very clean. Helpful staff”

“This cabin needs a LOT of care. It was OK for our purposes, because we just needed a place to sleep more than anything, but if we were actually looking to "vacation" or "rest and relax" it left a lot to be desired--especially regarding upkeep and how it was furnished 1. Our sheets had HOLES in them! 2. No toiletries, other than body wash in the bathroom 3. No bath mat 4. Insufficient towels 5. Not enough dishes or mugs 6. No sponge for washing dishes, or anything to clean and wipe down...

“room was clean, everything worked. looked like new flooring. sink spigot was loose(not big deal). price was right!”

“We enjoyed the schoolhouse very much as the kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook easy dinners and lunches. The location was great as we visited nearby Harper’s Ferry and Shepardstown’s Bavarian Inn (dinner). The farmland in the area was breathtaking as we enjoyed driving around at night. The schoolhouse was a special experience considering both of us are teachers. Great job on the decor!”
