"We arrived after driving 16 hours straight. The lobby door was locked with a sign telling us there were no vacancies even though we had a prepaid reservation. There were 2 additional guest standing outside the door who also had reservations but no rooms available. As a result we continued our drive on to the next town to get a room. "

But I guess it’s more that they were surprised that I thought it should happen magically."
