“Wonderful lodge to stay at that’s impeccably clean with outstanding views and with lots of wildlife spotting of dear, hares and birds of prey. The lodge is so well thought out with amazing attention to detail and furnishings. Superb heated pool that’s spotlessly clean, along with the steamroom, jacuzzi and sauna. “Absolutely stunning. Just like a 5* hotel. Julian and Chelsea have created a stunning suite. Great communication, easy check-in, everything you need is in the room waiting and a VERY comfortable bed. We will definitely be returning. Don’t hesitate to book.. You really won’t be disappointed.”

“Set in a good position. Air con in bed rooms but not in dining room/ tv area. Swimming pool a welcome addition with free towels although shut at 8.30pm. Excellent breakfast spread. Difficult to get served from bar in the evening.”

“The rooms were cool and large and airy with roomy bathrooms (although one of our rooms did not have a shower curtain). Breakfast was good and the staff were excellent but it was perhaps a bit overpriced. Tennis courts were well maintained and no problem accessing them. The pool area was well maintained but the pool was quite small. The birds were nice at breakfast but the wasps were annoying. We really enjoyed our stay.”

“A gem. Nestled in the countryside near Bergerac is this beautiful country house. We were only staying for one night as part of a longer trip, but next time we will surely stay for more nights. Pauline gave us a lovely tour on check-in. The room was spotless and air conditioned. We booked into the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and it was a wonderful experience. “Excellent service on arrival. The staff member provided information to us on the local area and discounts we can receive for eating at their recommended restaurant. The hotel is on a retail park, on the outskirts of the town but the shops and eateries are worth a visit. The room was basic, but clean, this was expected. The shower and basin is in the bedroom which was inconvenient when other members of the family were visiting the room. Breakfast was a basic continental offering.”
