Very nice hotel, very convenient when arrived at or leaving Hiroshima airport. Provides good amenities. Breakfast is good, too, unless you expect a huge American breakfast.

A beautiful room in a beautiful hotel. So very close to the JR line station (200 meters door to door), easy access to the rest of Japan via the Shinkansen Trains, a great hub for exploring Western/Southern Japan. Only 30 minuets to Hiroshima, 2 hours to Osaka, and under 5 hours to Tokyo.

I have been attracting by Setouchi Shimanami Kaito bike touring for a long time through Taiwanese cycling enthusiasts. At age 75, my wife thinks I am crazy. I booked two nights at Suminoe for 6/17 and 18. The spacious room with ocean view and bidet toilet are very impressive. Miss Wang who is in charge, is very intelligent. This was the middle hotel on our 75 km Shimanami bike ride and we arrived very hot and tired. The room was not ready for us, but the staff happily took our bags so we could enjoy the town while the room was being prepared. We stayed one night prior to beginning our bike ride. The hotel is across the street from from the Onomichi train station. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Such a quaint and charming place! The hotel reflects traditional Japanese architecture and decor. Very delicious Japanese breakfast. Extremely satisfied!! Close to bunny island too! The hotel staff helped us get a taxi to get to the bunny island dock.

The breakfast was good and staff were really kind. Theres a mall and restaurants near the hotel that we were able to check out during the day. Had easy access to parking as well.

Phenomenal service and gorgeous location. There was a downpour of rain when we arrived and the staff prepared four umbrellas for us to receive us and walk us to our room. The room was spotless and we had a great view of the lake.

Just the most incredible experience we've ever had in a hotel. So much more that just a hotel, it's a whole Japanese luxury experience.
