“Beautiful hotel in the heart of Blantyre. Only stayed one night on business but I 100% recommend it. Room service (most delicious Chambo) was quick, WiFi was fast, breakfast was delicious and the staff were attentive. Reception even helped me charge my phone!!”

“The hotel has good staff that give good advice and about where to eat and security - which is an issue. It is not recommended to walk outside for westerners due to streetboys. The hotel itself is a 3 star hotel, in european standards. A bit run down, but clean. The restaurant on 5th floor, Vincent, is very good.”

“Sunbird Ku Chawe is situated high up on the Zomba Plateau - one definitely needs a car to get there. It has perfectly manicured beautiful gardens. Even though it was very hot the time that I was there, there is always a cool breeze as it is so high up! I loved my room with the views of the Zomba town & far off mountains such as Chiradzulu and Mulanje. Had a wet room and modern fixtures in the bathroom. There was a good selection of dishes for breakfast and varied menu for dinner. Although...

“Almost no complaint to the lodge, however their kitchen did not work quickly, they took 90 minutes to serve the meals after we ordering the menu. ”

“Many small things can be done to make the living quarters better. Eg cockroach prevention, clean sheets, fix the fans. Beautiful location and the staff were lovely but over priced unless you are going as a group and can share the cost. ”
