It is about a 25 minute walk to the harbor area where most of the shops and restaurants are located. It is frustrating to have to walk from the front entrance of the hotel through the parking lot and up the driveway to be able to walk anywhere. “The hotel is located about a 7 or 8 minute walk to the town. It's not too inconvenient unless you have mobility issues. The breakfast was OK--not overly exciting but perfectly fine. The lounge on the 3rd floor is comfortable with a nice view of the water. The rooms are basic but comfortable.”

“We stayed about a week in early May. The Havgrim can best be described as cozy and intimate with a handful of rooms. Beautiful sea view and easy walk into town. Breakfast is lovely - and saves you from having to get breakfast in town as there are limited restaurants. I would say depending on the direction of the wind you can hear larger trucks leaving Torshavn from your room if you are super sensitive to noise , otherwise you can hear the ocean waves.
