"The property was nice. Easy to get to and the staff are accommodating. We got two rooms with 2 beds. They are big enough for two people and baggage in each room. The bathrooms are shared in the hallways. Each bathroom is private and has a shower. Very clean and warm during the cold winter. Never had issues waiting for the bathroom. There were 4 bathrooms on each floor. The main building had a bar and a lounge to hang out in. Tea, coffee and water offered all day for free. Would stay here again. "

"A great stay and very unique in style not something you find in many Hotels. The reception is very helpful especially Storm who understood my needs and very caring.The one thing I didn’t like was the creaky floor boards particularly the corridors outside rooms at night it can be noisy. "Basecamp is a stunning property and gives the authentic feel of a base camp ie no tv, phones, or wardrobes in bedrooms. The breakfast had great variety and eggs Benedict was a popular request. The only downside for me as a sole traveller in a triple room was that I had to pay the full price. There are no facilities such as a sauna or pool - but this is the high Arctic so I'm not sure if any accommodation has these facilities! Staff were wonderful - friendly and super helpful. "
