The new owner told me by phone from another location that the hotel was fully booked and had an ownership change. My companion and I were left high and dry with no place to stay in Bennington. I had to reject an offer of accommodation in Rutland 50 miles away. Expedia and new owner, please take responsibility for this lapse.”

“This hotel is nestled into between two mountain ranges that are beautiful before sunset as you see the sunrise on the eastern mountain side and being able to see the sunset on the western mountain side a lot of history in the town very safe very convenient to all the things that are needed during the day. “Nice quite place to stay the night. No second floor, so there was no chance of being disturbed by people walking above you. Clean room, including the bathroom. I liked that it had a mini fridge so we could put food in it that we brought with us. There was also a separate freezer where I refroze my ice packs over night. Very handy. I didn't have any food to reheat, but if I had, the microwave would have come in handy. I did use the coffee pot for coffee in the morning. I took off a star...

“It was very clean, very very cute, you don’t have direct view of the lake from the porch but there’s a super cute little pond and the lake is a ten second walk from the cabin. If you’re worried about the AC don’t be, it works incredibly well and never gave us any issues!”

“Absolutely horrible, felt like a waste of money so I didn’t go back for check in at 3 even though it was listed at 2pm. Went with somewhere else.”

“Two things can improved: 1). The bathroom needs to be renovated. It has a dirty look. 2). The security alarm was beeping irritatingly all the first night. This prevented us from getting anywhere near a good night sleep. I did not find the owner very responsive. He said someone would be there by 4 PM the next day”
