Good Location and Facilities, but Some Important Concerns The hotel is conveniently located and offers helpful parking. The reception staff were welcoming and provided good service. The Superior and Maharaja Rooms have scenic mountain views, and the food was good, although the restaurant serves only vegetarian dishes—a limitation that should be communicated in advance. However, the spacious bathrooms need serious refurbishment, as the taps and showers were leaking. The Superior Room also had a damaged section of wall covered with tape, reportedly unchanged for a year, indicating that it had not been properly repaired. We were additionally disappointed to be charged extra after downgrading one room because both the families wanted to be in the same floor. This unexpected cost should have been explained beforehand, with the price adjusted fairly to reflect the change. Because the hotel is in a hilly area, guests should use a driver experienced and confident in hill driving. Overall, the location, parking, views, reception service, and food were positive, but the leaking fixtures, unrepaired room damage, and unclear additional charge require attention.

Stayed at this hotel on Temple Road, McLeod Ganj in January end 2026 and honestly had a very nice experience. Food was really good. The balcony view was amazing — you can see Dharamshala and snow-covered mountains, which felt super peaceful. The place is calm and quiet but still very close to the main square and Dalai Lama Temple, so location is perfect. Mrs Sonia at the reception was very welcoming and kind, made us feel comfortable right from the start. Overall, a simple, peaceful stay with great views and good food.

The property is perfectly located near the McLeod Gang monastery and a short walk to all the outdoor shops. The views from the rooms are stellar, and the staff is so courteous and professional. Sonya, the concierge manager is really fantastic and makes you feel like a special guest at this truly beautiful hotel. Highly recommended!

Our stay at this hotel was comfortable. Good lobby space. Room size is good. Location is close to Dalai Lama temple and local market. Restaurant service and food was good. Staff are friendly and supportive. Price is slightly high about 15% more for the quality of accommodation.

Greatly situated and clean room

The hotel is situated centrally to the market and restaurants by short uphill walk of 10 minutes. The room booked was not with a view but the team moved us for the second and third nights with an adjusted rate. Staff is very friendly and the view from room with a balcony is superb. Will return.

Sub par hotel, not worth the higher price

Great location in Mcleodganj but expensive by India standards with many better options around and far friendlier owners around many properties in the area. I stayed a week beyond my online stay because of volunteering work near the Dalai Lama temple. The staff working were unwilling to bargain on the price of the room, never cleaned the room after multiple requests during my stay for simple things like a new sheet or something of the sort.
