The restaurant area near the terminal hotel is nice, but the shops and restaurants after passport control are less than desired. If you have a long layover at DME, the area after passport control not a good place to spend time.
Passenger processing at Domodedovo is fast, efficient, friendly and overall noticeably better than in most airports outside Russia I dealt with (mostly in Europe and USA).
