Also the information on Hotels.com did not make the out of hours check in process clear. Luckily I arrived while the receptionist was present. "

"This is a pleasant characterful property, with the sort of period charm we prefer rather than clincal modernity. The check-in was efficient and welcoming. Our top floor room was spacious and comfortable wth a good sofa as a bonus. The breakfast was continental, with no hot options as expected. The only thing that stopped this from being 5star is that, despite nice touches like an orange juicing machine and plum moelleux cake, there was less than average choice of standard items of prepared fruit and pastries. This was just a stopover for us on the way back to the ferry from Switzerland, so we didn't spend time in the town other than to view the river from the bridge, and enjoy the local cuisine and ambience at the Bonaventure in the main square."

"Easy to find. Lots of parking.Felt secure and well lit at night. The most warm and efficient welcome Beds and pillows very comfortable. Good soundproofing. Very good value breakfast. Ate next door at The steakhouse..Excellent steak and ice cream."
