“Need air conditioners! I do understand it is Ireland and it’s not usually this hot , but with climate changing, it was very uncomfortable in the room in at night. Windows were open street noise was very loud. Everything else was fantastic, but it was way too hot, and I’m from Florida where it is always hot.”

Our room was cosy and clean, although the absence of a lift can prove problematic for anyone with a disability. Well located, the hotel affords easy access to the surrounding area. “First the plusses: incredibly friendly and helpful host, delicious cooked-to-order breakfast (included), with homemade bread, beautiful and bucolic setting on an active farm about 2 miles outside Kenmare - loved the sheep sounds. Minuses: it was the middle of a heatwave, lots of flies and no AC/fan. There were water/toilet flushing issues. And there should be a note in the listing that payment is cash only! The place desperately needs some updating - as long as your expectations are not high,...

“We were traveling with two adults and two teenagers and were a bit nervous about staying over a popular pub. It turned out to be the absolute decision we could have made. We had a room with a double bed and two twins, which was perfect for our family. The pub isn't so loud that it bothers you while you are in your room - the only thing we had was a bit of street noice, but that's par for the course. The food in the pub is great too! The center location couldn't have been better - there is street...

“Unbeatable place, views are amazing, only problem is there's no AC and that wouldn't be an issue if there were mosquito windows nets, you are in the middle of the woods and there's mosquitos everywhere the room get super hot bc u can't open a single window at night, also there's no lobby restroom or any other restroom besides your room I understand this is not a typical hotel but the property is huge so you could definitely fit one.”

“The host was unfriendly and hadn't turned heat on so was very cold. Kitchen and bathroom had no heat. Terrible shower and refrigerator was worthless owner told us a stick in the freezer. Even her son said this was a nuisance. I would stay at West Cork Hotel in Skiberean again never again at Rineen.”
