"The room was clean, but not kept up well. The staff was present. The breakfast was minimal, with few choices and nothing available for those who need to eat gluten-free. Fortunately, I travel with my own breakfast food. The air conditioner did not work, so we were forced to keep a window open, which didn't feel safe as we were right on the highway. Our room looked nothing like those shown on Expedia, and I'm wondering if they're from the Aspen LODGE, which is an entirely different establishment. We would not recommend this motel, and we will not return."

"We loved the location and that they were pet friendly (except for the lodge - even though one of the employees had her giant dog in there). The mini kitchen in the room was nice for making food. The bathroom was updated and clean. The price was reasonable. The best way to describe it is rustic but unfortunately a bit shabby. None of this prevented us from enjoying our stay, but there’s plenty of maintenance that should be done. The grout on the floor tiles had failed and needed redone. I couldn’t get the wall heater unit to work which may have been why there was a noisy space heater provided. The provided charcoal grill was nice. Would’ve been nicer had the ash been cleaned out. The crawl space opening, which was littered with trash was left open for a day before someone shut it. The beds had good, clean sheets and blankets, but the beds had old and squeaky box springs. One bed had a large divot making it uncomfortable. The sliding glass door that was our view of the lake had a blown seal so the inside of the window was foggy with condensation. There was a large garage on the property that appeared to be the maintenance headquarters that was an eyesore. Overall, it’s a great location to call your headquarters while in this beautiful area, but it’s hardly a resort that’s going to be the highlight of your trip. If you convincingly tell yourself it’s “rustic” it helps."

"It was comfortable enough. It looked like some improvements were happening. It is somewhat dated which is not a problem but our room really smelled like cat urine. Location was fantastic. It could use a sprucing up but everyone was nice and the views were amazing."

"The property was clean,quiet after 10:00 and great views of the lake. The only negative was the obvious guest with a kayak sticking out of his truck, parking right in the staircase to the door. People had to climb rocks to get around his truck. That was in no way the resorts fault."
