“The setting is lovely with plenty of parking. Not overly helpful reception on check in, giving minimal information. The building is generally dark and felt cold. It could do with some accent colour to warm it up and feel more welcoming. The room was comfortable. Good mattress and bedding. Shower is also good but room is small. “Nice place, it’s actually one room in a large house. Toilet and shower are shared between a couple of rooms, it’s ambiguous in the room description. Still a decent price for the area. ”

It was very confusing to find our accommodation and we had to call multiple times before anyone answered. The room provided was not the one we booked, and the property looked very run-down. “Beautiful elegant room and a super comfortable bed. The grounds and gardens were delightful. Our host was lovely and helpful. My only negative is the horrible acrylic blankets on the bed, hot and uncomfortable to sleep under. We will be back with byo blankets.”

“Recently refurbished, the property was originally built back in 1928 and, whilst modest, has character. It is idreally situated on the edge of town, with extensive views over the golf course. The bedrooms are small but more than adequate, with comfortable beds and upgraded ensuites with good showers. “What a beautiful, intimate, quaint cottage and only 10 minutes from the vineyards. Helen was the most lovely host, very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. It was so peaceful and it felt like we were stepping into a cottage in the rolling hills of England. We loved our stay, the lovely breakfast each morning and definitely will be returning in the cooler months to sit around the beautiful log fire with a bottle of the Hunter’s finest.”
