"We prefer adults only resorts. The Wailea Beach Resort has an adults only pool that has a wonderful ocean view. The poolside wait staff are extremely conscientious and friendly. We enjoyed getting to interact with Guy the most. We had a late check-in after 8:30pm. We arrived in a downpour and were courteously greeted by staff with POG & a lea! Bags were brought up to our room. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had a private Lanai with an ocean view. The downside of the trip was a crying baby/toddler in the room across the hall in the middle of the night. The parents were in and out and talking loudly several nights in a row. The walls are apparently not soundproofed. The Humble Kitchen has excellent food but it is a bit pricy. The Kapa is more casual dining near the pools. The Kapa has great food and service too. Whale's Tale is extremely casual. We walked from one corner of resort to the opposite corner on the first day. We had a breakfast sandwich, a POG smoothie and then ordered mochas. We didn't go back for our daily mochas. We went to Starbucks at the resort the next day. We were disappointed that they didn't offer macadamia nut or coconut syrup. FYI: they are resort employees and can not reload your Starbucks card or help you use any of your rewards. We reloaded our own Starbucks cards. Just remember when on the resort you can not use cash. There are several restaurants within close walking distance at Shops at Wailea. We walked to Vintage Island Coffee daily. "
