Hotel du Lac Champlain, an Ascend Collection Hotel

"The hotel is located across the road from Lake Champlain, lovely location. Looks like a newer property. Clean and bright. We had a suite that at first glance is absolutely beautiful. But after being in it for a few minutes it was lacking a few things. It was a huge open space, with sliding doors going to a balcony with a view of the lake. It has a small fridge located right beside the door to the room which was bit strange, with all this space. It had a beautiful wood dining room table for six people, in a room for 2. And there were no dishes, microwave, or kettle that you could make a small meal for yourself, or even heat up take out...Strangely, you could drink the nespresso coffee for free, but would be charged extra if you drank the water bottles provided in the room. There was no bar sink to fill the nespresso machine, you had to use the bathroom sink. There is a large bathtub to soak in, which was lovely. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding clean and good quality. There was a fake leather couch in the room that was worn and flaking off onto the carpet...kind of tacky when they are clearly trying to look very sophisticated in this room. There is a spa located at the property that is not included in your stay, not even at a discount, which would have been a nice perk."

"Awesome property! Only drawback was breakfast. Even though breakfast is included, they cannot accommodate the amount of hotel visitors. Too many people for the turnaround required."

"While it was lovely to have a television and coffee maker and fireplace in the room, the room was so dark that the coffee maker was useless. It was also nice to have lovely bathrobes but there was no place to hang them or the towels or wash cloths. The breakfast was reasonably priced with a great selection just about anything you would want and you can return to the buffet if there's anything special you want more of."

"Demandez une chambre loin de l'ascenseur. 😅 Chambre confortable. Les foyers ne sont pas de vrais foyers mais plutôt électrique. Aucune chaleur. Belle salle de bain. Chambre propre. Le spa est plutôt décevant, mais comme c'est abordable ça le fait. Bains extérieurs plein de feuilles au fond et d'autres qui flottent et personne qui nettoie. Aucun employé sur place. Sauna pas assez chaud et aucun sablier ni thermomètre à l'intérieur . Hammam pas assez chaud comme il n'est pas automatique. On doit ressortir pour appuyer sur un bouton mur extérieur pour avoir de la vapeur. Pas très relaxant. Il y aurait place pour une station exfoliation au sel. Ce serait un bel ajout. Pas de changement de serviettes. Je n'irais pas l'hiver pour cette raison."
