It was exceptionally difficult to say goodbye after 5 nights. Isabella, Natalie AND Stephen and Michel were the most charming hosts. We will never forget their care to guests. We look forward to returning again and is a great place for a base camp if you want to visit La Rochell or Il de Re or so many other places...

"Sadly this was not good. Can’t understand the wonderful reviews. The carpet in room 121 was absolutely disgusting. Badly stained and even threadbare patch. Certainly not what you would expect on a 4* property and not at 115 euros. Bartender was sitting at a table talking, when asked for service he said he would be along but continued to leave us waiting. The restaurant had a limited menu also so after the fiasco with drinks we walked into town-lots of choice of restaurants and bars. The state of the carpet in the room creeped me out. Will definitely not be back. Stayed at many mercure hotels as we travel through France & Spain 4 times a year. This one really lets the group down "
