“good golf course, tennis court, rooms and buildings with full of historic scent. 30 minutes drive from Manchester airport. meeting rooms are cozy, but internet access with laptop inconvenient (smartphones are ok). breakfast was excellent and bar serves all kinds of nice cocktail.”

“We only stayed for 1 night with our dogs, the grounds of the hotel are stunning with lovely views. We were only given 1 bottle of water for our room, when booking I was advised the additional supplement for pets would ensure plenty water in the room, this was not the case but we had plenty with us anyway so didn't see the point in mentioning it. “We had a good stay in this historic hotel. We stayed in a standard room and for the price we were very satisfied. The location was excellent, the staff friendly and efficient. The bar was comfortable and congenial. All in all we enjoyed our stay.”

“Excellent breakfast. Room, bedside lamp nearest door needs fixing. The mount is broken. No real problem, just that the lamp is not able to be directed away from the face of the other person in bed. Take this in good spirit. Ian.”

“This is a hotel inside a golf resort. Lovely breakfast and view overlooking the course. Room was quiet, safe and up to date with good amenities. The only thing I didn't like was them charging extra for pool towels. Those should be offered at the pool for guests of the hotel to use instead of taking one from room or being charged at such a swanky place. Bed was excellent and our sleep was very good here. Thank you!”

“The staff were wonderful, the rooms clean and functional, but the property is a huge maze and not easy to find your way around. The "high tub/shower" amenities are not the safest to use.”
