Ducks Inn - September 2022

Great atmosphere and wonderful pub experience. Good food in dining room. Very good location for access to Lothian's golf courses. Lots of character. Older rooms. Enjoyed meeting Fiona and Malcolm Duck!

The property is a very old building with a lot of character. Great place if you are into golf with all the memorabilia. Good quality food in bar and restaurant. All members of staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. We found hotel pretty noisy at night and early morning with banging doors but think that was down to the location of our room and some other residents not being very considerate. Rooms could do with a bit of a refurbishment.

Great base for a Lothian golf trip

Group of friends on a golf trip. The bar area was very warm and welcoming and there was a great selection of drinks on offer, including plenty of malt whiskies. The restaurant was outstanding, both for breakfast and dinner. We would ahppily use the Ducks Inn again if back in the area.

Hotel was a bit dated, room and bathroom especially. Avoid room 1, close to main road and it’s noisy. On the positive side public areas are very nice. Good excellent. Service excellent. Breakfast excellent. Would I stay again, yes, but not in room 1.

OK but overpriced

Pub itself is very nice and dinner in restaurant was also good. Room however was tired, a little tatty and very overpriced. Breakfast could also have been better. Overall a nice inn for an overnight stay but overpriced for the quality of the accommodation. Really you're paying more for the location in the centre of an attractive seaside village than for the quality of the establishment itself.

Great place for golfing break accommodation

I stayed as I know The Ducks Inn has a strong golfing connection. The owner Malcolm is very nice and made a point of introducing himself. I would definitely stay again - my bed wasn’t the most comfortable but maybe I was just unlucky...
