Colin’s place was welcoming, calming, organized, alive with art and comfortable furniture. I got my wish for rain my last day, just so I could stay home and enjoy the peace, the piano, cook in the spacious, very well-equipped kitchen using herbs snipped from the garden and walk to a pub in the evening for a pint.

I only stayed one night, I didn’t see a staff member as it was unmanned. Not sure I’d staff for any duration but it’s close to Edinburgh and transport links to the airport and city.

Private bathroom is seperate from the hotel room. Door to room was very loud and squeaky. Beds are not that comfortable. But the room worked well for what we needed.

No available lift. We had an elderly with us and we have to climb up to the top floor and the photo that was advertised was not the actual photo of the room that we wanted.

Narrow stairs with no elevator. Tiny room with no suitcase rack or any space to unpack the suitcase. Garbage from the previous stay under the bed - poor cleaning. Tiny bathroom with noisy fan. Internet slow.
