“I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional. The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. “Great wee weekend in Dunoon stayed in various hotels there but this was a surprise package, looking at the building might give the wrong impression of it. Beautiful old building which maintains a lot of its periodic charm and features but our room was very modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. “Tarbert is such a sweet little town. The castle ruins were magical. The hotel itself - very convenient, easy parking, incredibly nice and very hardworking staff. The meals were SUPERB!
