Great stay and great staff at Golden Monkey

Good, quiet location right on the waterfront, comfortable room, good rates, and above all extremely helpful, friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and made the most of our time.

I had an amazing stay here! The staff was awesome and my accommodations were perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was the convenience of getting to and from El Nido. The hotel provided free transportation but only to the main square.

The old owners, Rosie and Kev fantastic there was no beach it was idyllic but the ocean is up to the boundary walls. Low tide is just okay.

Our cottage, Unit 1 had a fabulous view of the ocean. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and always attentive to the needs of the hotel guests. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and families.

We love the staff service and the view of the resort. My kids loved our stay at it that they don't want to leave the place already. We fell in love with the view at the resort location. We also love the breakfast options, its free breakfast, and its free tuktuk service from/to the resort. We will definitely come back here.

Cute little cottages just a short trek from town. Tricycle able to take you back and forth--do need service to call/whats app them to request it.

Breakfast has very limited menu, the rice with garlic served uncooked, room is okay, not hot water of the shower, air-conditioning too loud, staff are okay but not accommodating, my room was garden view but i open the window tje view was garbages. The location of the hotel is hard to access especially if it rains, we were confined in the room cannot go downtown because no rides can get trough the wet and sandy road.

Das Hotel ist direkt am Meer und nur zu Fuss oder mit dem Tricycle erreichbar, was das Hotel kostenlos anbietet. bei Lowtide, kann man am Strand entlang laufen. Bei Hightide isst man im Restaurant wirklich direkt am Meer..näher geht nicht mehr. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

I booked room one, a family room, as it was the last room available at the time. I didn’t need the additional space but it was worth the additional cost for the view. There was seating and two sun beds on the deck overlooking the bay. Unrestricted water views. The hotel isn’t new, but gets five stars for the view and the excellent food.

A beautiful location on Calaan Beach, which is just an easy 5-10 minute walk into town. The cottage I stayed in was basic with just a ceiling fan, which is fine for me, with a very tropical jungle feel to the rooms. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept immaculate. The breakfast included was simple, but delicious and the view from the restaurant/bar everyone morning is memorable. Really enjoyed staying here and not in town centre. Would return on my next visit to el nido.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE this place!!! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and met every expectation. The staff made sure we had "to go" breakfast on a morning that we were leaving for a private boat tour, so kind. The dinning area is incredible; we could've just sat there for hours as the view was perfect! Right on the water; so beautiful. Food was great. We walked to and from town, for us no big deal only a short walk to everything. The grounds are as clean as they could be and so beautiful with the flowers, trees, rock walkway, and little sitting areas. Our "cabin" was perfect, air conditioning worked very well, clean, and just what we needed. We would recommend this place to everyone and if ever in the area again would stay here. Thanks for such an amazing stay!!!

Du Unterkunft war abgelegen in einem kleinen, sehr charmanten Teil, nördlich von El Nido. Super interessant ist der Weg, da die Unterkunft (auch mit Roller und Tricicle) nur über den Strand erreichbar ist. Die Garden-View-Bungalows sind sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, lediglich die Bäder sind etwas spartanisch. Anders bei den Beach-Front-Bungalows. Die Bäder hier sind sehr modern und haben besseren Standard als die meisten westlichen Hotels. Die Bar Anlage lädt zum sitzen und Meer genießen ein und es wurden, unüblich für El Nido, sehr gute Cocktails serviert. Eine der gemütlichsten Anlagen auf unserem Trip, auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung.

Idéalement situé sur la plage accès par tricycle

Super hôtel en front de mer sur la plage, seul bémol nous avions loué une voiture et nous avons eut la désagréable surprise que nous ne pouvions accéder en voiture à celui-ci. Il faut prendre un servie gratuit de tricycle mis à disposition par l'hôtel ou une petite marche de 15 à 20 minutes pour rejoindre le centre d'El Nido. Mais cela fait également parti du charme de cet endroit une fois avertis. Sinon bungalow très propres et confortables. Excellent petits déjeuners avec une très belle vue sur les îles.

Views wonderful. Noise around area and within property disappointing. I was awoken quite a bit by staff, construction workers, loud guests. Staff gave misinformation and was not prepared for transport when said would.
