We loved our room (presidential suite) and the history of the building. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food and drinks at the rooftop restaurant were amazing, breakfast was also very good. The location is very convenient for everything to do around the zocalo.

The art deco interior is impressive. Rooms are quite small, dated and somewhat lacking in amenities. Bathroom supplies - soap etc - are inadequate and not sufficiently replaced. The breakfast on the balcony, while having a good view of the Zocalo, is awful. A lot of choice in theory, but most items are terrible, and basic items, such as bread (stale) and coffee (barely drinkable) are very bad. Reception staff are quite friendly and reasonably helpful.
