Eldorado National Forest, California hotel rooms at the Independent

Had a great time staying at Sierra Inn during a fishing trip. The rooms are renovated and everything was clean and working well. It's been very quiet and peaceful during the night and you can hear the river flowing outside. Behind the motel there's a beautiful patio area with grill and picnic tables right by the river which we gladly used during our stay. Would stay here next time I'm around the area.

Great property and staff is very communicative! Easy to check-in/check-out. We were late to check in and had an issue with the lock accessing our keys. We could reach out to them easily, and staff was there to help in 5-7mins. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a group stay.

Very friendly host who made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Answered all our questions and let us check in early. Also many amenities in case we needed anything to snack on or if we forgot to bring something

Fabulous time in Truckee and Gravity Haus. Great room. Living area. Small kitchen. Perfect. Close to hiking which we did. Great food nearby and pubs. Close to Lake Tahoe which we visited (Tahoe City). Sat by the lake. Just a great 3 day getaway. Recommend Gravity Haus. Restaurant on site.

Our stay at Foothill was GREAT!! Rooms were recently updated, all in the 50's motif. Room was clean, beds were comfy. Decor was GREAT!! would stay there again!!

We needed a place to stay for the night where we could park our truck and RV safely while getting a good night’s rest and a meal. This place checked all of the boxes for us, including accommodations for the smoker so he didn’t have to keep meandering through the halls to get outside to smoke. So rare these days to find a hotel that still has any dedicated smoking rooms! Desk staff was friendly and efficient at check-in and we found our room easily with her specific instructions. I did not like that their were only stairs to get to the check in. With all of my luggage it was quite the haul.

Great place to stay!

Pleasant staff. Free use of snow shoes and sleds. Cute cozy cabin albeit it became too warm and the heating was centralized so I had to crack open a window to feel comfortable in bed. Great access to beach which had a ton of snow when we were there.

Location, location, location! Right on the beach. Literally. Sweeping views of Lake Tahoe. Outdoor amenities include picnic tables, barbecues, beach volleyball, fire pit and swimming pool. Rooms are comfortable, with a kind of a cabin theme. Older strip mall next door features a ramen joint, Mexican restaurant and cannabis shop if that's your thing. I loved that the property was within walking distance to literally everything! We walked to the state line for the events attended. The Inn was clean and didn’t have any strong smells like chemicals cleaners or even an old musty smell. I don’t care where I stay so long as the room and bed I sleep in is clean! What a fun and comfortable place to stay. We were on our way through town and chose this hotel as a stop over. However, it is definitely a destination type of hotel. It is a quaint town with 1 restaurant and this fun hotel. The rooms were decorated perfectly and incredibly clean and comfortable beds. Leif was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed.
