"Excellent service and very peaceful location, even though slightly steep last few 100 yards for the car. Nice view from the room and property in general. Staff and cook are very very polite. Rooms were clean and organized. Bathrooms were also clean, although slightly wet after they clean (hosts can perhaps look into this and ensure bathrooms are wiped after cleaning). This was only reason for for a 4-star rating on “rooms” (instead of 5-star rating)."

Kettle and a jug of water was supplied at check in, no further water given and room does not get made up. We were in the main building annexe and it obviously had not been used for some time, smelt and felt damp. I know we are in the mountains and should expect lower temperatures. We were told hot water would only be available 7-10 both mornings and evenings but we had to ring reception several times...

"If I could have less than 1 star, I would pick that for this hotel. Most of my concerns about this hotel are reported in other reviews. So I don’t want to repeat them but agree with them. I made a mistake of booking this hotel instead of booking a similar named hotel in the neighborhood that I was hoping to book. Hotel management is rude and unfriendly. "This is a resort so expect lots of children at weekends and holidays. However this charming hotel was perfectly adequate for us. If you are of a sensitive disposition, then the noise from the ventilation might drive you nuts, but any seasoned India traveller should be carrying ear plugs on them as standard which ameliorates the situation!"
