Terrific hotel. Stayed here for 2 weeks during the Euros and couldn’t have been happier! Super quiet yet really close to the train station and main shopping area of Duisburg. This was my 2nd visit and I fully expect it won’t be my last.

Front desk was very courteous and told us upon check in that housekeeping will not clean the rooms daily to help the environment, unless we requested it. It was very good because we were able to manage expectations. The room was spotless but amenities are lacking (lotion, shampoo).

This is a unique hotel centrally located in Duisburg (near to the opera and other central buildings). Air-condition was rather loud (disturbing night-sleep).

I had a good two-day stay at this hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and competent. Location can’t be beat within easy walking distance of the Opera House, Königstrasse (the main shopping area), the harbor and the Harbour. On the negative side, my room was located on the third floor (second in Germany) directly on top of the entrance and it was very noisy until 1am, caused by cats parked in front of the hotel for no reason and blasting their speakers. Someone should do something about it.

The room itself was clean and very spacious. Love the bathrooms, some of the best you’ll encounter. Sucks there is no air con and the fan in the room was pretty hopeless. Limited interaction with staff so difficult to assess. Pretty angry and disappointed the hotel bar/restauarant was closed throughout my stay and I was not made aware of this prior to check-in. It made getting food on Friday evening quite panicked. The hotel is covered in scaffolding which I couldn’t work out whether that meant it’s being renovated or a sign of disrepair.

Friendly service, but complete incompetent. Booked a larger room, good bathroom but rest was very average. Broken TV, they did not fix it. Expensive breakfast that was below average, next same bread, same yogurt. In all a very average to disappointing experience.
