"Quiet, peaceful a great place to relax. A walk on the beach takes you to shopping and other places to eat. Our meal at Farol was excellent and as another bonus is breakfast each morning served with the view of the ocean."

"Warmly greeted by hostess, Fatima, we were taken through the lovely restored home and brought to our spacious and comfortable room. I would add a suspended soap dish holder in the state of the art shower and don't forget to bring your own travel hairdryer. Breakfasts were served in fine Portuguese porcelain with generous amount of fresh juice and excellent coffee. The staff is more than willing to accomodate with eggs any style. "Friendly staff, quiet area, adjacent to golf course. Recent renumbering of the course meant that tee #1 was no longer adjacent to he hotel. The driving range was a short walk but the clubhouse and first tee were better accessed by car if carrying clubs."

The beach and restaurants are in walking distance. There is a laundromat within walking distance for longer stays to wash/dry your clothes."

"Fernando, the host, was helpful in navigating the surroundings and provided good advice for a local outing. On the other hand, he demanded a cash payment which came to me as a surprise and put me under considerable duress navigating ATM withdrawal limits etc. In the end he accepted a combination of Euros and dollars, which completely depleted me of any cash resources. None of the information from Hotels.com or from himself indicated that a cash payment was required. I only stayed for one night...
