“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Ideal location for Fairbourne and surrounding area - you need to go to Dolgellau, Barmouth and try the Precipice Walk and Creggannan Lakes which were lovely walks with stunning views. Nice to get some milk and Welsh cakes which were lovely. Cottage was clean and comfortable, only minor negative was limited information about what to do at check out time, local contacts etc. and there wasn’t much in terms of cleaning equipment apart from a broom so couldn’t do...

“The barn is beautiful and has been a pleasure to stay at. The layout works well, from the large open living space upstairs to the two bedrooms downstairs. There is plenty of storage space although for the second bedroom, this is in the hall area. We knew the area well as we had been on several previous occasions, staying in a property on the beach front. However, the ownership changed a few years ago and we have been looking for a suitable alternative and we have certainly found it....

“We would highly recommend The Fanny Talbot. Our room was lovely and spacious with an added bonus of a kitchenette area. Everything was clean and beautifully presented. The staff are very welcoming and the service at the restaurant was also top notch. We ate there the first night and had the set menu. Each plate was exceptional. We would definitely return.”

“The room had two relatively minor issues: 1. The toilet flush was terrible. Difficult to flush. Impossible with long flush, hit and miss with short flush. 2. The toilet roll holder was in need of securing. Toilet rolls inevitably fell to the floor when used. As I said these issues were relatively minor but were an ongoing irritant.”
