โExcellently maintained property surrounded by serene natural beauty. Located in the midst of mountains, it gives spectacular views and an amazing feel. I booked it only for a day, but one day is just not enough to relax and enjoy.โ
โThis is an older property but itโs in fantastic shape. The rooms are evocative of old-style timber lodges, not sleek or super modern but absolutely clean, comfortable and certainly charming. My wife and I stayed in Estes for a couple of days to pick our son up from camp and we would certainly return here next time we need to do so. The location is also perfect โ close enough to downtown Estes without being in the hustle and bustle of all the tourists.โ
โThe resort is tucked in off the road with the Fall Creek running through it. Beautifully manicured property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! Close to the park and to downtown. Loved the hot tub, the fireplace in our room, the gas grill, full kitchen and the marmots!!! Will stay again.โ
โGreat property very easy and convenient check in and check out beautiful room and beautiful area. I would definitely recommend this place the fire place s a delayed ignition issue that should be corrected. But that didnโt impact my stay as the fire place still worked.โ
โDiscovery Lodge is a nice home base for visiting Estes, with a quick drive to the park. It's located near the free trolley, which is worth checking out in advance to better plan your trip.
Breakfast could definitely use improvements, and make sure to shop for water at the grocery store (nearby) in case their dispenser is not working. The rooms & beds were clean and comfortable, and view from the back balcony/ windows is beautiful. During the fall, elk are EVERYWHERE! This trip was my 4th time...
โEnjoyed my stay. Canโt say much more. Wish breakfast was a little better but it wasnโt bad at all. It was quiet and my bed was on the firm side (but I like my beds that way). So if you like the bed that way youโll like it here. Would stay againโ
โThe grounds are huge and the views incredible. The activities are varied and therefore there is something for everyone. We really enjoyed going for a hike with one of the guides.
The food is mediocre. We were in a lodge, but next time I would book a place where we can cook ourselves.โ
โLooks like the property is old af but very, very nicely renovated. The bed and pillows were super comfy. You get what you pay for with the free breakfast. โ
