โThe location is great within walking distance of the beach and all facilities, very claen , relaxed atmosphere, very helpful host, great transport links โ
โAll over it was a good property to stay with my family. Living room is bit packed with dining table and chairs. There wasn't any tea bags/coffee or suger, luckily there is a shop 1 min walk managed to buy some. First time we used the cooker spider came out from cooker hood. Wasn't the best experience but it was funny.โ
โSmall family hotel, staff is very friendly room view was excellent!
Food quality is excellent, only suggested improvements is more variety on food options.โ
โWe enjoyed revisiting Hunday. Our last visit was 9 years ago.
I was a little disappointed to see Haigh Whisky is no longer served. When we first stayed here, Barry introduced me to Haigh cocktails.
We will revisit when the hotel refurbishment is complete. โ
โHe been to the BGL twice in the last month and have enjoyed both stays. First hotel Iโve been to that has no reception or staff in general, with keys and information left on a table on the way in. No matter though, Iโm there to sleep and shower and thatโs about it!
Itโs situated right on the beach which gives you the most incredible view out of the window and itโs close to local pubs and a few other conveniences. More importantly, itโs in an amazing place to head in to Wasdale - other than...
โvery good all-round. A lot more there than I realised when I booked the room - perhaps more information would have been helpful - very clean, very spacious and very quiet
