Make sure you stop by to visit the mules and, if you're lucky, you'll get to chat with the gentleman who works with them. We learned about the protective nature of the animal, how smart they are and what great communicators they are. We also learned about Buffalo Soldiers from him, a fascinating piece of American history. The fort is not easy to find as directional signage disappears as you get close.
