"We had an amazing stay at the Strater Hotel! The hotel is very historic and is so nice.The staff was incredibly helpful. We scheduled some time in the hot tub which was lovely! It is right in downtown Durango, so walking to restaurants, bars and shopping is easy from the hotel. Highly recommend a stay at the Strater!"

"Each room has a mini split AC but we didn’t need it when the low around 40. Every room also has a ceiling room which is really nice when traveling Many restaurants are within walking distance. We ate at the Italian restaurant that was right down stairs - it was great!! Chandler was so wonderful!! Helped us carrying our bags to our second floor room in the annex by the train (there is no elevator for those rooms) We loved staying at the General Palmer "

"It is an older property but clean . I stayed over night and left early . Coffee was o.k. Breakfast is quick and nothing special. But the price is right "

"Suite rooms were large, clean and had updated bathrooms. Lighting in the room could be improved. Breakfast has good selections and changes every day. We rented 3 rooms and the garbage dispenser broke in in one of the rooms but otherwise stay was uneventful. There was a confusion with our late check out, the lady in the front desk said we could check out by 3 pm but we started getting calls from the hotel to check out at the regular time. Apparently, the lady did not know that check out could only be extended till 2 pm. The hotel however honored our original request to check out at 4 pm."
