The hotel staffs were excellent and helpful. The bath powder that you can get from level 2 was a highlight after a long day walk. The bed and pyjamas were comfy. The only down side was the room was a bit too small for a family of 4.

Hotel New Otani Hakata
Hotel is a little dated but the staff were outstanding. Beds are definitely on the hard side even for Japan standards but they accommodated and actually switched out my mattress when I was out. Breakfast buffet had lots of good quality options. Location is great.
