Galax, Virginia hotel rooms at the La Quinta Inn & Suites

"Perfect"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. I have one complaint. Breakfast starts to be served at 6:30. We arrived at 6:31 and saw that the serving trays that contained the hot food (ham and eggs) were empty. There were a half dozen people in the area eating. The poor girl who was doing reception and restocking the food was busy with people checking out and also reloading food. We had to wait ten minutes before she restocked the food. When she did, it was taken by patrons in under a minute. Then there were more people waiting again for food. This is a major travel route. When people get up and check out, they want to get moving, not wait around for half an hour to get a little breakfast. That needs to be fixed."

"I was just stopping with my daughters on our way to Savannah from Michigan. The reviews looked great so we decided to stay. Room was $150 and we just needed a place to lay our heads. The elevator definitely needs some work… super loud and sounded like we would get stuck. My kids were afraid to ride it the next morning. The side door does not work to enter into the hotel so after parking my car on the side of the building after midnight… I had to walk all the way around to the front. We stayed on the top floor - smelled of marijuana when we exited the elevator. The room was clean thankfully. "
