Awesome State Park Lodge
"We have never stayed at this State Park lodge before but we will go back. The architecture is similar to the other State Park lodges, the rustic nature wood and stone construction which is beautiful and amazing. The lodge may be a little dated but well maintained and the rooms have received some updates. The food at the lodge was fresh and hot and made to order. The view of Buckhorn Lake from the main dining room is amazing! The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and activities. While the pool was not in operation yet, they had resealed it and painted it and resealed the entire pool deck area. It looked brand new again. It will be ready for the opening of the pool season on Memorial Day weekend. The pool is well stocked with new lounges and chairs. Another plus is that every room at the lodge has a private balcony with spring rocking chairs and a spectacular view of the lake. We will be back. "
