The breakfast options were great. Frozen, fresh, and ready to eat items. A good variey of coffee and tea. I am allergic to wheat and the host even left me a delicious, crust-free quiche. The room was clean and cozy with a comfortable bed. Wonderful clawfoot- tub with great shampoo, conditioner, and shower wash. A couple things to keep in mind if you choose to stay here. It has a shared bathroom, however the toilet room and shower/tub room are separate. We never had to wait. Also, if you require a C-pap machine, there is no grounded plug near the bed, at least in the room we were in (rm# 2). It was a lovely, historic hotel. I absolutely loved it and would stay again in a minute!

The house is over 140 years old. Its leaning however the owner has made every effort to make it comfortable and cozy. Tiny details everywhere to make your stay comfortable. The bed was comfortable. We were initially surprised and cautious but we had a restfull quiet night. Kudos to Lauren to make this hotel a great option

It’s like coming home, room was clean and neat, very nicely decorated. This old hotel has a lot of character and soul, it does creak at night, and the noise from the interstate woke me up a couple of times but those can’t be avoided. It would be nice if the Halloween lights had been shut off at some point since they’re so close to the window! Parking was easy to find, this place is literally the first thing you see as you get off I-70 east. Breakfast is self serve and even though I’m not gluten intolerant I was very happy to see they had quiches for people who may be. When I come back through this will definitely be a place I look to stay again.

My stay in this historic hotel was perfect. Being in this historic hotel and town with all the stories made the stay even better. The owner/proprietor made me feel at home. We had great homemade cookies, muffins, and breakfast burritos. Her knowledge of the hotel history and who had stayed there in the past was incredible. Such as Edison and Tesla as past guests. I plan to stay again whenever I’m in the area. Next time will be a longer stay. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Historic gem in lovely location.

Stopped here during a snowstorm when pulled off the highway - a nice find! This is gem of a place in a beautiful location, and provided us what we needed. With self-check in, and our late arrival during a storm, we never saw anyone at all. Shared bathroom is clean, bed was comfortable, and morning provided muffins and beverages in lounge. We were grateful.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Room was clean and inviting. Because it is a historic building, there is only one bathroom that services all guests on the second floor (you just need to be aware of that). Owner was a gracious host and we enjoyed visiting with her and other guests. Would definitely stay there again. It is a nice change from a standard hotel.
