Wedding trip

We had a long weekend in Geraardsbergen for a wedding and a little couples break. The hotel was very nice and it was a great location right in the middle of town. So everything was in walking distance. All the staff were very friendly and they offer a lovely choice of breakfast. I we every go back I would definingly stay there again.

Hotel davvero curato, stanza enorme bagno finstrato e grandissimo. In stanza c'era il foglio di benvenuto con 2 caramelle. Stanze pulitissime. La colazione super abbondante ricca di cose di ogni tipo. Ti portano l caraffa di caffe a testa cappuccino fatto da loro. La stanza della colazione davvero una chicca. Lo consigli, uno degli hotel migliori trovato negli ultimi 3 anni. Adatto per visitare Gand dista solo 30 min di auto.

L'accueil ainsi que la qualité de service ont été absolument parfait. Une très bonne literie, des lieux propres et un petit déjeuner très complet et divers. Nous avons diner au restaurant de l'hotel et c'était très bon, il faut juste ne pas arriver trop tard car les commandes en cuisine s'arrêtent à 20h00.

Stayed here one night. Very helpful staff. Older type hotel with big rooms and nice modern bathroom. Comfortable although the floors were a bit noisy. No kettle in the room but coffee/tea making in the corridor. Great breakfast.

Hotel uitsluitend om te overnachten

In Grupello is geen receptie, in- en uitchecken, ontbijt, bar/lounge in hotel Geraard, om de hoek. En dan: Als je een kamer met tweepersoonsbed boekt en je krijgt dat ook bevestigd, dan is de teleurstelling groot als bij aankomst blijkt dat je met 2 personen een kleine eenpersoonskamer krijgt, want daar staat het enige brede bed in (120-130 cm). De receptionist hebben we erbij geroepen en hij beaamde dat de kamer voor 1 persoon was, maar we konden uiteraard éen van de andere ruime kamers krijgen, met losse bedden, maar dat was niet afgesproken. We hebben de kamers bekeken, ze zagen er prachtig uit, maar inderdaad met losse bedden. We kregen daarop het aanbod van een kamer in hotel Geraard, waar in elke 2persoonskamer een 2persoonsbed stond. Dat vonden we uiteraard een prima oplossing, temeer omdat we de indruk hadden de enige gasten in Grupello te zijn. Wat ons tevens tegenviel was, dat de brasserie dit gehele weekend gesloten was. Dit was bij boeking niet vermeld. We zouden anders een week later geboekt hebben. We waren nl. erg benieuwd naar deze plek in Art Nouveau stijl. Het terras was eveneens gesloten. De kamer op de bovenste verdieping van hotel Geraard was ruim, netjes en met badkamer met inloopdouche. Echter, geen koffiezetapparaat of waterkoker, wel 2 glazen met flesopener. Wifi deed het goed. Ontbijt was superdeluxe, ruimte was smaakvol en tafels gezellig gedekt. Eieren werden bij aankomst in de ontbijtruimte klaargemaakt volgens onze wens. We misten wel de granen.
